Aged Standards - Multi Sector Standards Proposed for Withdrawal

Closes 12 Jan 2026

Opened 10 Nov 2025

Overview

We are considering proposing the withdrawal of the following standards and are seeking your feedback to help determine our next steps.

These standards are being reviewed for potential withdrawal due to one or more of the following reasons:

  • The standard no longer reflects current industry practice or research.
  • It is unsuitable for use in new or existing applications (including products, systems, or processes).
  • It does not align with contemporary expectations around quality, safety, or environmental responsibility.

If these standards are still important to your work, or if you believe they should be retained for any reason, we want to hear from you. Your input will help ensure that our decisions reflect the needs and priorities of those who rely on these standards.

If you believe a standard should be retained but find it outdated, please share your feedback. We can revise a standard if it remains important and relevant, so your insights are critical in determining whether an update is needed.

To support your review, we’ve made the full text of each standard available on our website for the duration of the consultation. This gives you full access to the documents and context needed to provide informed feedback.

By clicking on the designation of a standard in the list below, you’ll be taken to a new page in our webshop where you can view the full details of the standard.
