Overview
We are consulting on a proposed amendment, DR Amendment No.2 to AS/NZS 60335.1:2022 Household and similar electrical appliances – Safety Part 1: General requirement, prepared by Joint Technical Committee EL-002 Safety of household and similar electrical appliances and small power transformers and power supplies.
EL-002 discussed additional requirements to address an incident involving contact with live parts during fault-finding work on an installed air-conditioner. A longer three-year transition period was considered appropriate for these requirements.
